Bancha (which literally means "ordinary tea" or "late harvest" in Japanese) is the most loved and consumed green tea in Japan for its extraordinary harmony and benefits. It is harvested in late summer from the plant's most mature, lower leaves, a choice that makes it naturally very low in theine and rich in minerals.

It is the ideal choice for those looking for an authentic, thirst-quenching green tea. Due to its delicacy, it is perfect to drink at any time, even in the evening.

The leaves are large, flat, and a deep dark green, sometimes mixed with small stems. In the cup, the infusion is clear, with a delicate greenish-yellow color and brilliant reflections. On the nose, one immediately perceives vegetal notes of cut grass, dry hay, and a slight straw-like scent, typical of steamed teas. On the palate, it is rounded, with almost no astringency and a natural sweetness reminiscent of blanched sweet vegetables.

THE PERFECT MOMENT In Japan, it is traditionally served during or after meals, as it is an excellent natural digestive. In summer, it transforms into an exceptional thirst quencher, also prepared with cold infusion.
